Simon Wardley resigned as COO of Fotango during his keynote speech at OSCON, and I’m incredibly proud of him.

Simon WardleySimon resigned because Canon (parent company of Fotango) reversed their support for open-sourcing Zimki, the “open source utility computing platform” that Simon & his team created. I cannot comprehend why the Canon/Fotango board destroyed two years of exceptional work by a gifted team only days before launch. I can only assume they thought they knew what they were doing, and I am certain that they were terribly wrong.
